Walk in Prayer from Darkness to light. A Camino from St Anne’s in Sligo to the Holy Well will take place on Sunday, July 29, beginning at 4.45 a.m. and arriving at the Holy Well for the 6 a.m. Dawn Mass.

CAVES OF KEASH VISITOR CENTRE

A new visitor centre at the Fox Den Pub and Restaurant opens this week. Conducted tours of the Caves are provided each day at 10.30 a.m. and also in afternoon. MUSIC AND SINGING SUMMER SCHOOL.

Carmel Gunning will provide her summer school in Sligo from August 9 to August 11 with music and singing classes daily. Summer school entertainm­ent will take place in Riverside Hotel Sligo. OPEN HOUSE IN QUAY STREET

This event will take place on August 21 in what was the old VEC Secondary School. This event is about letting people living and working in County Sligo know what adult education opportunit­ies are available to them such as part-time day, evening courses, night classes including a vast diversity of course. CARRAROE TIDY TOWNS

Carraroe is looking so well thanks to the volunteers. Grass cutting trimming of banks and sweeping of roads has taken place. Anyone, who wants to assist either with manpower or donations is welcome to assist. The adjudicati­on process has commenced and lasts till mid-August. All residents are requested to assist present our area to its best by cleaning outside own property. It is recommende­d people clean a few meters each side of own property.

CARRAROE COMMUNITY CENTRE

If you wish to book the community centre, please contact the parish office at 071 9162136. Most morning, afternoons and some evening are available. Please be conscious of other groups using the centre and stick to your allocated time.

CARRAROE CHURCH CHOIRS

Both our choirs are looking for new members. Come along to the rehearsal on Mondays at 8 p.m. for more informatio­n.

DANCING IN COMMUNITY CENTRE CARRAROE.

Dance class followed by live band each Wednesday night in Carraroe Community Centre Sligo. Dance class commences at 8.30 p.m. with live band following. Learn to jive, waltz, Quick Step and more. Beginners and Improvers welcome. Tomorrow night July 25 Colm Burke will provide the live music.
