Primary care centre gets the green light
SLIGO County Council has granted planning permission for the building of a new primary care centre in Drumcliffe.
The news has been welcomed by the HSE. A spokeswoman said: “Drumcliffe is part of the North Sligo Primary Care Team which covers the areas from North of Sligo Town to North of Cliffoney approximately 30km and has a population of 8,500 approximately.
“This will be a single storey Primary Care Centre with associated site works and car parking which will replace the existing GP premises in Drumcliffe when constructed. The total gross floor area of the building is 595 sq. m.
“When completed the following services will be operational from the building, General Practitioner, Public Health Nursing and multi-disciplinary bookable rooms which will be used by visiting Clinicians for example Dietitian Service, Speech & Language Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy.”
