Text alert launch for three new rural areas
THE launch of the text alert scheme for the three villages of Ballintogher Ballygawley and Sooey will take place on Thursday the 16 th August in the Ballintogher community hall at 8pm.
Vanessa Clarke from Community Alert will be there on the night to answer any questions along with a number of key Gardai involved in Text Alert.
Sinn Fein councillor Thomas Healy said: “Superintendent Ray McMahon, Inspector Donnie Sweeney and Sergeant Jim Fox Crime prevention Officer will be attending as well as the two community Garda for the areas and the text alert Committee. We hope to see as many locals there as possible.”
