McSharry comes 14th at Europeans

SLIGO’S swimming sensation Mona McSharry was back in the pool again over the weekend as she competed in the European Champions in Glasgow.

Having come through the heat of the Women’s 100m Breaststroke with a time of 1:08.53, she lowered her time in the semi-final with a time of 1:08.30 to finish 14th overall, unfortunately not enough to qualify for the final.

The Marlins Swimming Club swimmer will now turn her attention to the 50m breaststroke heats, and the mixed relay event which take place during the week.
