DEFIBRILLATOR GROUP

The Dromahair Defibrillator group will hold their annual church gate collection at all the local churches on weekend of August 11 and 12. This together with our annual fun run/walk (organised for September 9) are the only two fundraisers we have to raise funds for the maintenance of our four units. BLESSING OF THE GRAVES

Blessing of the graves takes place in Rossinver this Sunday, August 12, at 1 p.m. Anne Carey, Archaeological Consultant will give a talk at Rossinver Abbey this Sunday, August 12, at 2 p.m. (directly after blessing of the graves) as part of National Heritage Week 2018.

The talk will cover the history and archaeology of the church site and will give an account of the progress of the ongoing conservation works there as well as information about the rare species of bats who use the building as a roost and which were identified by the ecological survey of the site undertaken as part of the works.

DROMAHAIR LIBRARY

Summer Stars Reading is continuing here in Dromahair library. It’s a free programme and open to all children. Each child who registers can join in the fun of reading lots of exciting books during the summer. We are delighted to have obtained NEW BOOKS for inclusion in the
