THANKSGIVI­NG SERVICE

Skreen Parish Church will host a service of Thanksgivi­ng on Sunday, August 12, at 4 p.m. to mark the Bicentenar­y of the present church. Everyone welcome.

FUNDRAISER

Members of the Skreen-Dromard Community will be visiting houses in the local area selling tickets for the Skreen-Dromard Fuel Raffle Fundraiser over the coming weeks. Your support will be deeply appreciate­d. The Fuel Raffle tickets are now on sale in local shops and at the community centre. The cost is €5 per ticket or three tickets for €10.

The prizes include a 13x7 foot trailer of firewood, 500 litres of kerosene, 20 bags of smokeless coal and lots more. All proceeds of the raffle will go to the Skreen-Dromard Community Centre. For further details or any enquiry ring Allister at 087 2531266 or Anne Marie at 087 6649635.

107TH BELTRA SHOW

The annual 107th Beltra Show will take place on Saturday, September 1, and will have all the usual events and entertainm­ent. Show schedules with all the class and events details are now available.

The annual Show Raffle will take place on show night and ticket sellers will be calling door to door in the coming weeks. Your support will be greatly appreciate­d as this is the main fundraiser to help run the show. Enquiries to 087 9331082 or any committee member.

CONGRATULA­TIONS

Congratula­tions and very well done to local girls Lauren Cadden on winning her second Irish title recently in the under-19 200m and to Amy Boland, who was a Finalist in the under-14 200m at the national finals.
