Winners of the 2016 ‘Epic Award’ for Ireland, they continue to provide a touring arts show free of charge, in towns and villages across the northwest.

Comprised of dozens of members, the line-up varies at each event, with poets, artists and musicians –and sometimes even potters and puppeteers!

For this Charlestown event they are once again shaking it up, and are excited to be joined by special guest poets from the UK; Harr y Gallagher and p.a morbid (known to themselves as ‘The Teesside Two’).

This is the l aunch of the Hermit’s group art exhibition which will run from the 18th-31st August, and includes varied and interesting artists.

The evening will feature li ve acoustic music from a variet y of folk, trad, and other musicians, and a sample of the poetr y from the regular Hermit stable – including recent Hennessy Award winner Louise G Cole, and Roscommon Writers Prize winner Helen B Grehan- with l onger time for the visiting poets.

Books and art will be for sale, wine and nibbles are provided, and admission is free.
