Hall plan for sports complex
BALLISODARE Community Council is hoping to create a new community hall for the village.
Ballisodare Sports Complex Ltd, which is part of the Community Council, has applied to the County Council to turn part of their changing room facilities in Youngs Quarry into a community multi-purpose hall and meeting area.
They also want to extend the community centre building to provide storage areas to the rear.
The Community Council is a voluntary not-for-profit organisation.
Development of the site was previously granted back in 2006 but the building has not yet been fully fitted out internally. The sports pitch on site is in sue and the changing areas are used for togging out but no shower or toilet facilities are permanently in place.
