New entrance on Circular Rd

A new entrance to the playing pitches has been proposed across the road from the new Summerhill College building. The Elphin Catholic Diocesan Trust has lodged plans with the County Council to create a new gated entrance to the spor ting grounds next to the former Summerhill College which was sold in recent years. The pitches are used by Summerhill College for spor t s.The proposed galvanised steel gates are to be used by pedestrians but a wider gate is proposed to facilit ate access for machines to mow the pitches. Planners will decide on the proposal by 13th September.
