Join Friends of Sligo Gaol to mark the 200th anniversar y of Ir eland’s only sur viving polygonal prison, rich in histor y and heritage.

Conference Weekend September 7-9 2018: “Crime and Punishment in 19th & 20th Centur y Ir eland - 1818-2018 200 years of Sligo Gaol”.

The weekend celebrations will include bespoke tours of Sligo Gaol, the l aunch of our illustrated children’s book and the unveiling of a portrait of Michael Collins, the jail’s most famous prisoner.
