Frizell stars as Bunninadden dominate St Farnan’s
BUNNINADDEN ST FARNAN’S 3-14 2-5
BUNNINADDEN were fully deserving of their victory in this game as for long periods of the match they dominated the play and the score sheet.
Both teams had a nervous start with Bunninadden kicking three wides to St Farnan’s one.
Vincent Frizell was first on the scoreboard with a point from a free.
Another free from Frizell and a point from Barry Cafferkey followed and St Farnan’s got one back from Ciaran O’Connor.
St Farnan’s struggled for the remainder of the half only adding a single point to their tally from Finnian Cawley whilst Bunninadden added two goals in quick succession from Barry Cafferkey and James Mc Laughlin. At half time they led 2-10 to 0-3. Vincent Frizell had scored eight points, seven of those from frees.
After the break Vincent added two more points to his tally. St. Farnan’s curtailed the Bunninadden attack and midway through the half finally got a goal from Finnian Cawley followed by a point.
Bunninadden’s Colm Doddy was handed a straight red and shortly after Stephen Feeney got the final touch to a second goal for St. Farnan’s.
It was Bunninadden who finished stronger with a third goal from Ross Mc Manus followed by the final point of the game from Vincent Frizell.
St Farnans will be very unhappy with this performance as they struggled all over the field.
There was a slight improvement in the second half with Matthew Lang and Finnian Cawley doing well.
Bunninadden’s Vincent Frizell scored eleven points from frees and one from play , a terrific display.
Indeed, Bunninadden team were on top in all areas and this win was a real team performance.
