CHURCH GATE COLLECTION

The North West Hospice annual church gate collection will take place on Saturday and Sunday, August 25, and 26, at the Church of the Immaculate Conception Ballymote and St Joseph’s Church Doo. A reminder for your diaries the Ballymote North West Hospice Support Groups annual tea or coffee morning and cake sale will take place on Top of the Rock on Friday, September 21, and as usual we will be looking for all our wonderful bakers to come to the fore with all sorts of confectionery.

LOTTO

There was no winner of the Ballymote lotto jackpot on August 11 Numbers drawn were 3, 12, 20 and 28. There were four match-three winners. Names of winners displayed locally. The jackpot now stands at €4,800. The next draw will take place in the Coach House Hotel on Saturday, August 25, Thank you for your continued support.

AFTERSCHOOL CLUB

Ballymote Family Resource Centre is hoping to run a new Afterschool Club from September for local children and we need some enthusiastic, committed volunteers to help make this happen. We need volunteers to commit to one afternoon per week from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. where they will be supervising the children, taking part in fun activities and assisting the children with their homework. COLEMAN FESTIVAL

The Coleman Traditional Festival dedicated to the world renowned fiddle player Michael Coleman takes place in the Coleman Music Centre, Gurteen from August 22 to August 26. All concerts commence at 8.30 p.m. in the Coleman Centre and Sunday, August 26, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. visit the Coleman Cottage, Mount Irwin for a monster music session. Fáilte roimh gach duine. YOGA CLASSES

Yoga classes will be taking place every Thursday starting August 30, in Ballymote Family Resource Centre. 6.30 p.m. for Beginners. 8 p.m. for mixed ability. Contact Therese at 086 3230197.
