TABLE QUIZ

There is a table quiz this Friday night, August 24, in the Millers Inn at 9 p.m. Please also support the church gate collection this weekend Saturday and Sunday, August 25/26.

These fundraising events are to carry out enhancement works to the church car park which includes resurfacing, widening of entrance, extra lighting, and the creation of a feature at corner known locally as ‘WIGGINS CORNER’. This is all part of works under the town and Village Enhancement Funding.

MASS FOR OWEN GILHOOLEY

On Saturday morning next at 11 a.m. a Mass will take place in Killavil Church for the late Owen Gilhooley late of Coagh, Killavil.

Owen moved to Dublin and made his home there, but he never forgot where he came from. He was a regular visitor to his native Killavil where he spent may happy days when growing up along with his brother Joe would still resides there. He was great for visiting people from the area that would be in hospital in Dublin. It was with shock and sadness that we heard of his death.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Joan, daughter Louise, son Thomas and his granddaughter Ellie, brother Joe all extended family members and his many friends. May he rest in peace.
