MICHAEL HARDING

The popular writer, Michael Harding returns to the Hawk’s Well Theatre on Wednesday the 12 th of September to discuss his most recent book, On Tuesdays, I’m a Buddhist. The best-selling writer and raconteur will read from this latest memoir, ruminate on the difference between psychotherapy and religion, and relate the story of his pilgrimage to Skellig Michael, in his ongoing search for meaning.

In On Tuesdays I’m a Buddhist, Harding examines his search for meaning in life. Following many therapy sessions and long solitary months on the road with a one-man show, Harding spent time at an artists’ retreat in the shadow of Skellig Michael. After feeding his experiences into this latest book, Harding undertakes a nationwide tour to share and muse over his findings.

Mixing stories from the road with dispatches from his Irish Times columns, On Tuesdays I’m a Buddhist is described as ‘a spell-binding and powerful book about the human condition, the narratives we weave around the self, and the ultimate bliss of living in the present moment’ (Books.ie)

Hardy has built up a committed audience around the country, his appearances as a guest on national television and radio always garnering great interest. This upcoming visit to the Hawk’s Well promises another evening of insightful wit and observation.

“Harding’s latest attempt to find meaning in life is searingly honest, funny and self-deprecating” - The Irish Times

Tickets to this event are €19 plus a €1 Renovation Fee surcharge and are available from the theatre box office on 071-91/61518 or book online at www. hawkswell.com
