Sligo nominees in catering awards

THERE are a number of Sligo nominees in the running for the 2018 Hotel & Catering Gold Medal Awards.

The newly refurbished Sligo Park Hotel has been shortlisted as a finalist in Ireland’s Family Friendly Hotel category. It is the only Sligo hotel shortlisted in that category.

Meanwhile, Markree Castle is also shortlisted in Ireland’s Wedding Hotel category.

Eala Bhán restaurant has also received a nomination in Ireland’s Fine Dining Restaurant category. The Gold Medal Awards are recognised as the leading independent awards programme for the Irish hospitality industry.

The awards ceremony take place at the Lyrath Estate, Co Kilkenny on Tuesday, September 25 th. The nomination comes after the hotel was recognised as one of the best wedding venues in Connacht at Ireland’s Wedding Journal Reader Awards 2018. The Gold Medal awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of the hotel and catering sector throughout the year.
