TEA/COFFEE AND CAKE SALE

Ballymote North West Hospice Support Group will be hosting their annual tea or coffee and cake sale morning on Friday, September 21, on the Top of the Rock, Ballymote and as in former years we are looking for all our wonderful bakers to get their baking trays and tins out and provide us with a flourish of all sorts of confection­ery for this great occasion. Remember every euro counts so please help by baking a cake or supporting us on the day to maintain our excellent Hospice Centre and services locally.

A big thank you to all who supported the North West Hospice church gate collection on Saturday and Sunday, August 25, and 26.

LOTTO

There was no winner of the Ballymote lotto jackpot on August 25 Numbers drawn were 11, 13, 15 and 26. There was one match-three winner, name of winner displayed locally. The jackpot now stands at €5,000. The next draw will take place in Gormley’s Corner House on Saturday, September 8, Ballymote Community lotto supports Gaelic, Soccer and Handball Clubs, Loftus Hall and Ballymote Community Parks. Thank you for your continued support.

FITNESS CLASS

Thirty minute Fitness Class (€5 drop in) continues in Coláiste Mhuire hall every Wednesday at 7 p.m. Suitable for all levels including complete beginners. Men and teenagers very welcome also. Enquiries to Rachel at 083 8020100.

YOGA

Yoga classes every Thursday starting August 30 in Ballymote Family Resource Centre. 6.30 p.m. for Beginners. 8 p.m. for mixed ability. Contact Therese at 086 3230197.

Congratula­tions to the parents of Tommy Joe Stephenson, whose baptism took place recently.

ALFIE BANKS PLAQUE UNVEILING

The unveiling of a commemorat­ive plaque in memory of the late Alfie Banks , to acknowledg­e his outstandin­g contributi­on to this community will take place at the Loftus Hall Ballymote on Saturday September 8th at 5 pm. Light refreshmen­ts will be served and all are welcome
