A 24-year-old man who pleaded guilty to public order and possession of a bread knife was given the Probation Act. Felipe Fernandez of Millbrook Apartments, JFK Parade pleaded guilty to the offences on May 9 th last at Strandhill Road.

Inspector Donal Sweeney said gardaí arrived to the scene at Kevinsfort after a man was banging on doors. He tried to get into the patrol car and was holding a bread knife and had drink taken. He had no previous convictions. Ms Laura Spellman solicitor (defending) said her client went for drinks with work colleagues and went to a party after. He had very little recollection and said his drink may have been spiked. It was completely out of character and he was trying to get into the patrol car for help, she added.
