EVENING OF CHORAL MUSIC

There will be an evening of choral music taking place in Dromore West on Friday, October 5, at the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour. This is a special concert featuring Coolaney Gospel Choir, Sligo Cancer Support Choir, Every Voice Choir Ballina, and Sligo Gospel Choir with special guest Jonathan Carter. NO NAME CLUB

Registrati­on Evening for Enniscrone No Name Club is on this Wednesday evening, September 19, in West Sligo FRC from 7 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. Club open to all teenagers between 15 and 18 years. EOGHAN RUA LADIES

Congratula­tions to Eoghan Rua under-12 team and their management on their convincing win over Eastern Harps at Kilcoyne Park, Tubbercurr­y in the A championsh­ip final on Sunday last. The final score was 15-3. A great win for the girls, twenty eight girls in total to end a very successful year winning both league and championsh­ip.

An under-10 end of season non-competitiv­e County Blitz will be held on Saturday, September 29, at IT Sligo. Blitz will start at 11 a.m. with all teams and mentors to be there at 10.15 a.m. for registrati­on. Games will be nine aside and a number of ladies on the county team will attend on the day.

TRACTOR RUN

Annual Tractor Run ‘Across the Mountain and down the Brae’ on Sunday, September 30, from Skreen-Dromard Community Centre at 2 p.m. Registrati­on from 1 p.m. €20 per tractor. Raffle and refreshmen­ts afterwards. Proceeds in aid of Skreen-Dromard Community Centre. Please support.

PILATES AND YOGA

Pilates and yoga in Skreen-Dromard Community Centre on Mondays, Cost: seven-week course €70. Limited Class Capacity. Drop-in class €15 availabili­ty dependent. CLOTHES COLLECTION

A clothes collection in aid of St Mary’s Church, Dromore West takes place on Saturday, September 29, at McGee Hall, Dromore West. Recycle your unwanted clothing – all types of clothing accepted including bags, shoes, hats, belts, towels, curtains and bed linen. WESTSIDE MACRA

Westside Macra is having a fundraisin­g social dance on Friday, October 5, at 10 p.m. in the Great National Hotel, Ballina. Music by Jason Travers and Jenna Sloane. DEATH

The death has taken place of Eymard Burns, Corkhill, Skreen. Requiem Mass was celebrated in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Templeboy, with burial in St Joseph’s Cemetery, Templeboy. Sympathy is extended to his family and relatives.

SOCIAL DANCE

The September social dance will be held in Skreen-Dromard community centre on Saturday, September 29, with music for dancing by Thomas Maguire and Fhiona Ennis.

70K AND 40K FUN CYCLE

Templeboy/Aughris Rural Action group will hold a 70K and 40K fun cycle on Sunday, September 23, starting at 10 a.m. from the Beach Bar with refreshmen­ts afterwards.

LOTTO

There was no winner of the jackpot in the Easkey lotto draw on September 7. Numbers drawn were 11, 18, 33 and 36. €25 winners: Mike Lee Daithi Brown, Tommy Egan, Martina Ryan, Chloe Greene and Matthew Taylor. Promoter’s prize: Martina Reilly. Next jackpot €2,800 and the draw will take place at the bingo in the community centre at 8.30 on Friday night. 50/50 winner; J, Ed and R Hogan.
