THE MOY SINGERS

The Moy Singers are holding an open evening for people interested in joining the choir on Wednesday, September 19, at 8 p.m. in St Mary’s Secondary school, Ballina. We are particular­ly interested in hearing from male singers. Come along and join us for a few songs at the open evening. Westside Macra are having a fundraisin­g social dance on Friday, October 5, at 10 p.m. (doors 9.30 p.m.) in the Great National Hotel, Ballina. Music by Jason Travers and Jenna Sloane. CHORAL NIGHT

This will be taking place on Friday, October 5, at Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Church, Dromore West. This is a special concert featuring Coolaney Gospel Choir, Sligo Cancer Support Choir, Every Voice Choir Ballina, and Sligo Gospel Choir with special guest Jonathan Carter. BLOTTO DRAW

There was no winner of the €4,800 jackpot when the blotto draw took place in Gilroy’s Bar on Sunday, September 9. Numbers drawn were 7, 8 and 24. €25 winners were Nora Cafferty, Meabh Gallagher, Kevin Flynn, and Shane Gallagher. Jackpot for the next draw on Sunday, September 16, in Pilot Bar will be €5,000.

Collection in aid of St Mary’s Church, Dromore West. Recycle your unwanted clothing – all types of clothing accepted including bags, shoes, hats, belts, towels, curtains and bed linen. PARENTS PLUS

This evidence based parenting course on promoting confidence, learning and positive behavior in children aged six to 11 years. The course will run in West Sligo Family Resource Centre, Enniscrone for one day a week for nine weeks commencing September 19.10 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. This course is free. SPEECH AND DRAM

Aoife Kilgannon School speech and drama and arts/ crafts classes. Enrolment will take place on September 14 from six to seven in Dromore west community centre.
