Lymphoedema is a long-term (chronic) condition that causes swelling in the body’s tissues. It can affect any part of the body, but usually develops in the arms or legs. It develops when the lymphatic system doesn’t work properly.

Lymphoedema usually affects an arm or leg, but it can also affect other parts of the body. Lymphoedema can cause long-term physical, psychological, and social problems for patients.

Currently, the centre provides Biodynamic Therapy which aids drainage of the lymphatic system and has proved to be very effective.
