St. Mary’s dominate A2 final
ST Mary’s Minor Ladies were comprehensive 8-18 to 3-14 winners over Eoghan Rua last Thursday evening.
Mary’s came out strong in the first half dominating in all sectors of the pitch, particularly thanks to the work of Ciara Gilroy, Ruth and Helen Monaghan.
Mary’s went in at half time 5-12 to 4 points in front. Eoghan Rua came out in the second half and threw everything at their opponents and getting a few scores on the board.
Resolute defending by the exceptional Aoife Gilroy along with Roisin Martin in the full back line ensured St. Mary’s maintained their lead. Eoghan Rua piled the pressure on but the steely Mary’s defence stayed strong.
