MARTY’S ENTERPRISE EVENING

Ireland’s top sports presenter, RTÉ Sunday Games Marty Morrissey will be guest speaker when Manorhamil­ton Bank of Ireland hosts an Enterprise Evening for all members of the community in the Bee Park Community Centre from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. (this evening) Tuesday, September 25.

This will be an ideal opportunit­y for you to showcase your Business, Sports Club or Community Group if you come from Manorhamil­ton or the local North Leitrim and West Cavan area. Meantime excellent entertainm­ent will be provided by local groups on the occasion while local schools will participat­e fully in the event, as well.

The BOI Enterprise Evening promotion will be a free event for all in the community who wish to attend. Meantime all visitors will be very welcome to come along during the evening. All exhibitors who wish to participat­e in the BOI Enterprise Evening are strongly encouraged to do so.

HARVEST SERVICE

The Lurganboy Chapel of Ease will host its annual Harvest Service on this Friday night, September 28, at 8 p.m. in the unique village church and it will also host a donation event for the St Vincent de Paul Society on the occasion.

Deacon Pádraig Kelly, Glencar will be the Harvest Service’s invited guest speaker on Friday night. The Lurganboy Chapel of Ease is asking all coming along to the Harvest Service to bring with them an item of food that will be passed on to the local St Vincent de Paul Society Branch, who will distribute it to those in need.

Everyone cordially invited to come along to the Lurganboy Chapel of Ease Harvest Service on Friday night while refreshmen­ts will be served to all attending after the service is over.

CHEESE, WINE AND QUIZ

A table quiz in aid of Lurganboy Chapel of Ease Refurbishm­ent Fund and the provision of a Defibrilla­tor for Lurganboy Village will take place in Glencar Community Centre Diffreen on this Saturday night, September 29, starting at 8.30 p.m.

A Cheese and Wine reception will take place before the table quiz at 8 p.m. table quiz teams of four members are invited to compete on Saturday night and the entry fee per team is €20. A light supper will be served after the table quiz takes place.

HISTORY SOCIETY AGM

The Manorhamil­ton and District Historical Society will hold is annual general meeting in the Bee Park Community Centre on Tuesday evening, October 4, at 7 p.m.

All members are requested to attend and new members will be most welcome. A successful­ly year of Historical Society activities and events will be reviewed over the course of local history organisati­on’s meeting.

MARKET DAY

Manorhamil­ton’s Farmers Market takes place again on this Friday, September 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Bee Park Community Centre car park.
