WESTSIDE MACRA

Westside Macra are having a fundraisin­g social dance on Friday, October 5, at 10 p.m. (doors 9.30 p.m.) in the Great National Hotel, Ballina. Music by Jason Travers and Jenna Sloane. ENNISCRONE/KILGLASS GAA

Enniscrone-Kilglass/Easkey minor team had an encouragin­g 3-9 to 1-8 win over Eastern Harps at Quigabar last Friday in the final group game in the A championsh­ip. The win leaves them with two wins from five games; they await other results to find out their fate.

The under-14s season came to an end with a disappoint­ing 5-10 to 2-12 loss to Eastern Harps in Keash last Friday evening. Thanks to the players, parents and coaches for their efforts throughout the year.

The Sligo Senior Football Championsh­ip final will take place in Quigabar on Sunday, October 14.

There are a limited number of lapel pins showcasing the club crest and importantl­y the correct spelling of Enniscrone as Gaeilge agus as Béarla available at present. They are a quality item that would make a great present, and also show your support for the upcoming plebiscite on the town name. They are available from any committee member for €10.

CHORAL NIGHT

This will be taking place on Friday, October 5, at Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Church, Dromore West. This is a special concert featuring Coolaney Gospel Choir, Sligo Cancer Support Choir, Every Voice Choir Ballina, and Sligo Gospel Choir with special guest Jonathan Carter. SOCIAL BRIDGE CLUB

Enniscrone Social Bridge Club has resumed at the Diamond Coast Hotel each Wednesday commencing at 7.30 p.m. The Winners of the bottle night held on September 12 was. First Gerry Boland and Jack Kennedy, second Mary Flynn and Moya Brogan. Winners on September 19 were, first Jacqueline Kilcullen and Kevin McLoughlin, second Laura and Walter Doherty.

There was no winner of the €5,000 jackpot when the blotto draw took place in Pilot Bar on Sunday, September 16.
