Castlerea Mart report
CASTLEREA mart held its annual show and sale of weanlings on Thursday. A large entry of top quality me a flying trade with the top quality bulls exceeding €4 a kilo and the prize winning heifer calf making €5.45 a kilo. A large attendance of customers present and an excellent clearance took place. The heifer trade reported a good trade also with more customers in attendance trying to source quality stores while the cow trade and breeding stock reported a brisk trade SAMPLE PRICES:

Runners: Good numbers of stock presented for sale this week with prices improved for the better quality lots, prices improved for the better quality lots Prices ranged from €250 to €745 for continental lots. Bullocks sale Monday 17 th September 150 bullock on offer with bullocks making from €400 to €925 over with an average of €599 over paid.
Trade was improved for the quality stores on offer with improved demand on offer
