Community effort raises over €12k

IN July 2018 a working group made up of volunteers got together with a view to raise funds for the North West Hospice in appreciation of the work, care and dedication of its staff.

A collection envelope was delivered to almost every household in the Ballintogher, Ballygawley, Castlebaldwin and Riverstown areas and people could contribute if they so wished and the amount being totally at their discretion and optional. Over 1140 envelopes were sent out and returned to designated collection points.

The amount collected was revealed by the Hospice at a function in Riverstown, and a total of €12,587.40 was collected between the envelopes, raffle on the night and further donations received with money still coming in.
