Mondays – Circuit Training 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.; Exercise for Seniors 11.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.; Wednesdays – Art classes 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tai Chi 7.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.; Thursdays – Observatio­nal Drawing 10 a.m. to midday, Basket Making (commenceme­nt date to be confirmed) 1.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m.; Fridays – Body Toning 11.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. All classes are suitable for mixed levels. CHRISTMAS FLORAL WORKSHOPS

ST CECILIA’S SCHOOL

St Cecilia’s School supports children with moderate, severe and profound disabiliti­es and we are trying to raise money to buy wheelchair friendly equipment for our playground. We are holding a quiz night in Doddy’s bar on Friday, October 12, at 9 p.m. Tables of four are €40. Lots of fun and spot prizes to be had. Please support.

CLOTHES COLLECTION

The annual clothes collection in aid of Ballymote Community Parks/Haiti is on-going, with the dressing room now almost full. Keep the bags coming in over the final few weeks. Thank you for your continued support.

BADMINTON

There is a new six-week Badminton programme that commenced on Monday, September 24, in Bunninadde­n Community Centre from 9.10 p.m. and continues every Monday for the next five weeks. It is a social programme for all adults in Bunninadde­n and the surroundin­g areas. There will be a qualified instructor present each week so beginners are very welcome. GARDA INFO CENTRE

A Garda Community Informatio­n Centre is opening in the Depot on Monday, October 8, From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. This service will continue each Monday. General Garda Services and informatio­n will be provided. This is a pilot scheme and its’ success depends on the support of the public. Please use the service when it is made available locally.

SGT CONROY RETIRES

Best wishes to Sgt Robert Conroy who will be retiring from An Garda Siochana on Wednesday October 10th. There will be function to celebrate his career in Heraghty’s Bar on Wednesday October 10 at 9p.m.
