STOLEN CHILD Sligo Drama Circle returns to the stage in The Factory Performanc­e Space from tomorrow (Wednesday) until Saturday at 8pmwith its latest production ‘Stolen Child’ by Yvonne Quinn and Bairbre Ní Chaoimh. Set in 1990, it tells the story of Angela Tierney, a young Dublin woman and her search to find her natural mother and to confront her own identity. Tickets can be purchased through the Hawk’s Well Box Office on (071) 916 1518 or online.

FRANKIE’S GUYS

On Sunday the 7th of October, Zac Global Promotions brings Frankie’s Guys to the Hawk’s Well Theatre. Following a sold-out run at the Tivoli Theatre in Dublin, this fast-paced, energetic production paying tribute to the legendary music of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons returns for a nationwide tour. Tickets for this event cost €25 with a special half price rate of €12.50 for those under 18.

STRANDHILL FOOD FESTIVAL

In an airport, by the sea, along Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way, the second Strandhill Food Festival returns this Saturday and Sunday to hangar 1, Sligo Airport.. The Festival will showcase the very best of local and emerging food vendors, as well as attracting some of Ireland’s leading food producers and suppliers to the Northwest.

BAGATELLE

This Thursday, Bagatelle return to the Hawk’s Well Theatre with their Bagatelle@40 tour. Bagatelle started in 1978 at a time when bands singing original material weren’t all that successful in Ireland. However, Bagatelle’s music did work, and would establish them firmly on the Irish music circuit and worldwide.

HISTORIC WALKING TOUR OF EASKEY

An historic walking tour of the village of Easkey takes place this Saturday from 3pm. Sights of interest include: Fortland Estate, Easkey Abbey, and St. Ann’s Church of Ireland, The Old Rectory & Garden. This event is free of charge but anyone who wishes can make a donation towards The Jonathan Higgins Go Fund Me.

DROMORE WEST CHORAL NIGHT

A special concert featuring a collaborat­ion of various choirs from the Sligo and Mayo area, along with special guest Jonathan Carter will echo through the church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Dromore West this Friday. Admission is €15, which includes entry to the event and the raffle on the night.

OUTSIDE IN

Outside in - An exhibition of recent paintings in pastels and oils from artists Caitriona O’Leary and Cormac O’Leary opens at The Hamilton Gallery this Friday.

OX MOUNTAIN CHALLENGE The Ox Mountain Challenge road race takes place this Saturday from 1pm, with the main 10 mile race going up the scenic mountain and back down the ladies brae. A four mile race and relay race will also take place along with a 10 mile team event. The 10 mile race starts near the Fiddlers Elbow. Check out the Facebook page for more.

INTERNATIO­NAL CONCERT
