Rugby results at the weekend
The Sligo RFC U13s had a well-deserved 41-32 win against Corinthians last Saturday in Hamilton Park. This was a fast-moving game between two very even teams, but it was the home side who finished the stronger to make it three wins from three and maintain their 100% record.
The U15s travelled to Oughterard and were rewarded with a 27-15 win. This was a hard-fought game, but it was the visitors who made the most from their possession and came away with their first win of the season.
The Sligo U17 Development team played host to Corrib in Hamilton Park on Sunday.
A tough encounter was always on the cards, but a determined home side were impressive running up 26points without reply in the first half.
The second half was a bruising affair, with Sligo playing their bench and were unfortunate not to capitalise more on their possession.
Corrib had a period of sustained pressure and were rewarded with two tries, but it was too little, too late and it was the home-side who came away with the well-deserved win, final score 26-12 in favour of Sligo.
