Cycle donates to the Northwest Hospice
GSK Sligo welcomed their colleagues from all over the country when they hosted a Wheelie Good Cause with proceeds going to the Northwest Hospice.
Participants in the event signed up for either a 50k cycle or the more challenging 100k route.
Over 200 cyclists and volunteers took part in the cycling event.
Both cycles started and finished at GSK’s plant in Finisklin.
All funds raised at the event were donated to the North West Hospice and a cheque for €4,200 was presented at the end of the event to Mary Forte, Fundraising Co-ordinator of the Northwest Hospice.
The Wheelie Good Cause has been GSK’s flagship fundraising event since 2012.
Thousands has been raised over the years for charity.
