HOSPICE COFFEE THANKS

A huge thank you to everyone who baked, donated, supported or attended the Coffee Day fundraiser held recently in Riverstown Totalhealt­h Pharmacy. This event raised €2,007 for the North West Hospice. Well done to all involved.

ASTHMA DISCUSSION

Coolbock National School in Riverstown is currently involved in the Asthma Friendly Schools programme developed by the Asthma Society of Ireland. This programme provides schools with asthma informatio­n and resources to enable staff to become familiar with asthma symptoms, triggers, treatments and emergency situations.

As part of the schools involvemen­t with this programme Coolbock NS will host an informatio­n evening with an Asthma Nurse Specialist. This event will take place in Coolbock National School on Thursday, October 11, at 7 p.m. This is a free event and all are welcome to attend.

RAMBLING HOUSE

Riverstown Comhaltas will be holding Rambling House on Saturday, October 13, at 9.30 p.m. Musicians, singers and Dancers welcome. Refreshmen­ts will be served. Admission €10. Enquiries to Pádraig Kerins 087 6707329.

SPOOKTACUL­AR STEPS

Children aged 4-12 are welcome to come along to a Halloween Camp starting Monday, October 29, in the Morrison Cottage, Riverstown. Camp runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and no previous dance experience is needed. To book please text 086 2584465.

SINGING LESSONS

Traditiona­l English and Irish Singing Classes taking place in the Morrison Cottage, Riverstown every Saturday. Castle Dargan Ladies Golf Club are delighted to announce that Séamus O’Rourke will return with his latest play ‘and Thank You’ in Castle Dargan Hotel. The show will be held on Sunday, October 28, at 8 p.m. In case you missed it recently in the Hawkswell Theatre, here is your chance to see him once again.
