Man now living in ‘peace and harmony’
A 26-year-old man before Sligo District Court charged with public order offences was now living in ‘peace and harmony’ with his partner, Sligo District Court heard. The defendant David Kantoch, of Rathbraughan Park, Ballytivnan, was no longer drinking, the court heard. Sergeant Derek Butler said gardaí were called on November 4 th 2017 to Rathbraughan Park where the defendant was after having a fight with his partner and very drunk and aggressive. He was subsequently arrested. On another occasion on Christmas Eve 2017 numerous 999 calls were made and when gardaí arrived they found the defendant’s partner and her father in the house and in fear of the man who was very drunk. It took a number of gardaí to arrest him. Mr Tom MacSharry solicitor (defending) said his client apologised to gardaí and doesn’t drink anymore. He was fined €100 for being drunk in a public place and the breaching the peace matter was adjourned until March.
