Abortion clinic in Sligo

-

Dear Sir,

As you know, the lives of Sligo people revolve around our children. We have great regard for the excellent, life supporting, care provided at our University Hospital and also for the work of our rescue services. If a child is in peril in water, in fire or on the slopes of Benbulben, the men and women of our rescue services will do everything possible to bring that child back home safely. There is no room in Sligo for a facility the primary purpose of which, is to destroy the lives of unborn children.

If an abortion clinic were to be set up say, in Sligo Hospital, the grim reality would soon come to light of what is really involved in the “termination of pregnancies”. No “exclusion zone” would be able to hold back the torrent of revulsion and protest that would be directed against the “abattoir for infants” in our city.

Regards,

Eamon Fitzpatrick, Strandhill Road, Sligo.
