Dromahair FITNESS CLASS

Fitness class: brand new ladies fitness class with Macs active starts on Thursday, November 1, at 8 p.m. in Drumkeerin Ballalley. All ages and fitness levels catered for from the complete beginner to the more advanced. Also we are running a ‘men’s’ class at 9 p.m. on the same night, again all ages and fitness levels catered for. So come along and give it a go.

BLOTTO

Blotto Draw took place in the Woodview Inn on Saturday, October 27. The winning numbers drawn were 01, 12, 15 and 18. There was no winner of the jackpot of €3,200. The five winners of €30 were Mossy Collery, Ballintogh­er, Anthony Hanniberg, Forest Grove, Daniel Rowlette, Bohey, Sharon Burke, Forest Grove and Dean McVeigh, Drumkeeran.

The next draw will take place in the clubhouse on Saturday, November 10, and the jackpot will be €3,250. Tickets available in all businesses in Dromahair. Remember we pay out at least €150 each draw and you could win the jackpot if you pick the winning numbers. Thank you to everyone for your continued support. GARDA INFORMATIO­N CENTRE

There is a garda Community Informatio­n Centre open in the Depot, Back Line, Dromahair on Mondays from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. This service will continue EACH MONDAY General Garda Services and informatio­n will be provided. This is a pilot scheme and its’ success depends on the support of the public. Please use the service when it is made available locally.

SHOEBOX APPEAL

Manorhamil­ton TIDY TOWNS THANKS

Manorhamil­ton Tidy Towns Committee recently promoted a very successful and well attended ‘Monster Bingo’ session in the Bee Park Community Centre.

The ‘Monster Bingo’ session organisers have issued the following thank you statement regarding it. ‘A big thank you from Manorhamil­ton Tidy Towns Committee to all the people who attended our ‘Monster Bingo’ Fundraiser and it is greatly appreciate­d by the committee.’.

The Tidy Towns Committed also extended thanks ‘to Michael McSharry, our coordinato­r for this event for all his hard work; to the ticket-sellers; checkers; Bingo-Caller and the management and the staff of the Bee Park Community Centre for your help on the night.’.

SHOEBOX APPEAL

Many local groups have already started making up gift boxes for children in need for the annual Christmas Team Hope Shoebox appeal, which is now in full swing with less than two months to go to Christmas Day itself.

Leaflets are available in local shops in Manorhamil­ton about this year’s Christmas Shoebox North Leitrim appeal. Boxes can be left into Manor Fashion; Caz Cards; Bank of Ireland and Our Lady’s Hospital.

CHARITY CARD GAME

North Leitrim Men’s Group is running their Super ‘25’ Card Drive with up to €1,000 in prizes on Sunday, November 18, at 9 p.m. in Manorhamil­ton’s Bee Park Community Centre.

The Men’s Group say ‘this event will be raising funds for North West Hospice. Tickets will be available at the door at €5 each, if not purchased previously. All the tickets bought will also go into a raffle.’.

Meantime the next North Leitrim Men’s Group progressiv­e ‘25’ card drive takes place in the Bee Park Community Centre on this Sunday night, November 10, at 9 p.m. The jackpot prize will be €700 on nine games.

Bingo continues each Monday in the function room of the Blue Devon, Dromahair at 9 p.m. For those of you who are not regulars, it is a great social occasion, as well a fun opportunit­y to experience the thrill and frustratio­n of getting/not getting the numbers you need. All lines €30, except games 5 and 10, which are €50, all full houses €100 and last game €200. So why not come along and support your local bingo. Who knows you might be lucky.
