SYMPATHY

Sympathy is extended to Steve Finnerty Lacken, Enniscrone on the death of his wife Tina. Sympathy also to his daughter Ingrid, sons Damien, Stephen, James, Kieran and Jason, brothers, sisters-in-laws, grandchild­ren nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Removal took place from McGowan’s funeral home Ballina Saturday evening to the Church of Our Lady Assumed Into Heaven Enniscrone. Burial took place Sunday after 1.30 p.m. Mass in St Patrick’s Cemetery Kilglass. May she rest in peace.

BLOTTO DRAW

There was no winner of the €2,400 jackpot when draw took place in the Gilroy’s Bar on Saturday night last. Numbers drawn were 11, 15 and 40. €25 winners were Michelle Clarke, Mary Hannon, Joey Tuffy and Shane Sweeney. Jackpot for €2,400 the next draw will take place in Pilot Bar on Saturday, November 3.

Support for those grieving the loss of a loved one. Counsellin­g and Psychother­apy is for anyone that is experienci­ng difficulti­es and challenges in their lives. It involves meeting with a profession­al therapist in a safe, confidenti­al and non-judgementa­l environmen­t. All counsellor­s are accredited or working towards accreditat­ion with relevant bodies. SAFE TALK

Safe talk is a half day training programme that prepares participan­ts to identify persons with thoughts of suicide and connect them to suicide first aid resources. These specific skills are called suicide alertness and are taught with the expectatio­n that the person learning them will use them to help reduce suicide risk in their communitie­s.

Following a Safe Talk workshop you will be more willing and able to perform an important helping role for persons with thoughts of suicide.
