Motorists warned of dangers of deer on roads
MOTORISTS are being warned to keep an eye out for deer between Ballygawley and Carraroe after several sightings of deer not just at night but in daylight.
Sinn Fein Councillor Thomas Healy is calling on the public to drive carefully on the R284 between Ballygawley and Carraroe where many deer have been spotted since the start of rutting season in October.
Cllr Healy is asking people to drive carefully in this area as deer damage cars but also could cause the loss of life.
Cllr Healy will also contact the Parks and Wildlife Department to make them aware of the issue.
