Sligo Ladies announce managerial appointment

SLIGO ladies have announced the appointment of John O’Hara and David Curran as joint managers of the senior team for 2019.

Both men plied their trade for Tubbercurry together in their playing days and John has been manager of the St Nathy’s senior ladies team for the last three years.

He has won the County Championship twice while there, in 2016 and 2018. David is heavily involved in ladies football and has been instrumental in the development of ladies football in tubbercurry.

John and David take over from Paddy Henry who has served as manager for the last four years.

They will be adding to the backroom team in the next few days. Sligo will play in Division 3 of the national Football League in 2019 which kicks off the first weekend of February.

Meanwhile, Sligo LGFA will present ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ at The Clayton Hotel on Friday, November 30th, in conjunction with The Sligo Champion.
