St Stephen’s Day race hosted by South Sligo AC

-

SOUTH Sligo AC are delighted to announce they will be hosting their annual 5K fun run on St. Stephen’s Day.

This will be the 6th year that the club has had the honour of hosting the event in aid SHOUT (Sligo Hospital Oncology Unit Trust) a very worthy charity in Sligo.

SHOUT is crucial to patients and their families in coping with the pressures of having cancer.

This is acknowledged by the people of South Sligo who come out every year to support the St. Stephen’s Day fun run.

Last year saw over 300 people take to the road.

Walkers, runners, buggies, Santa Claus and his elves were all on display and got us all into the festive spirit.

It is a firm favourite on the South Sligo AC events calendar. As the club is going from strength to strength every year, hosting this event allows the to live up to their ethos of giving back to the community.

“We wish all our club members and our wider community a very merry Christmas and see you all St. Stephen’s Day.

“Registration from 11:30 in St. Brigid’s hall Tubbercurry. Run commences at 12pm. All donations to SHOUT,” Emma Davitt, PRO, added.
