HOSPICE SUPPORT GROUP

Ballymote North West Hospice Support Group held its annual coffee morning and cake sale on Friday, September 21, on Top of the Rock. This was an outstanding success despite the inclement weather conditions. We raised €3,260.00 at this event.

A special thank you to Mrs Fiona Hannon, who baked a specially designed cake for the occasion and the cake was raffled on the day. A big thank you to all the wonderful bakers who provided us with a great selection of scrumptious cakes and buns for the cake sale on the morning.

This year our four local schools (Scoil Muire gan Smal, Knockmina, Coláiste Muire and Corran College) raised €827.26. Local businesses who participated raised €1,195.70. The total amount raised for our coffee and cake sale morning is €5282.96. Many thanks to all who supported us by attending the events or giving a donation or simply giving a helping hand.

Our last fundraiser for this year will be our Christmas Bazaar, which will be held in the Loftus Hall on Sunday, December 2. Events in the bazaar will include ticket sales with great prizes from our stage prizes, bric-à-brac and Santa will be dropping by. There will be Lucky Dip and Burst the Balloon for the children and if you want to chill out tea, coffee and some nice buns will be available to thaw you out. So come along put the Bazaar on December 2 Loftus Hall in your Diary and please bring along a friend with you… Watch this space for more updates.
