RECENT DEATHS

THE death has taken place in Wolverhamp­ton England on October 22 of Luke Murphy a native of Annaghmore, Gurteen. Sympathy is extended to his brother TJ, Annaghmore, sisters, Mary, Rena, Sheila and Patricia and their families. Removal was to St Patrick’s Church, Gurteen on Thursday evening and Mass of the Resurrecti­on was celebrated on Friday with burial afterwards in Carrentemp­le Cemetery. May he rest in peace.

THE death took place suddenly on October 22 of Seán Connolly, eight, Rathmadder, Gurteen and formerly of Greyfield. A well known member of the community he will be sadly missed by all who knew him. His remains reposed at Perry’s Funeral Home, Ballymote on Wednesday evening and were removed to St Patrick’s Church, Gurteen. Mass of the Resurrecti­on was celebrated by parish priest Fr Joe Caulfield on Thursday with burial afterwards in Gurteen Cemetery. Sincere sympathy to his brother Thomas, sister Catherine, brother – inlaw Gerard, nephew Paul, niece Niamh, extended family, neighbours and friends.

SYMPATHY

Sincere sympathy is extended to Kathleen McDermottr­oe, née Drury a native of Mahanagh, Gurteen and her family on the recent death on October 31 of her husband Henry, Ballinafad. May he rest in Peace.

REMEMBRANC­E CEREMONY

Rememberin­g Our Deceased ceremony for all who died since November last year will be in Gurteen Church on Sunday evening, November 18, at 5 p.m.

MICHAEL ENGLISH CONCERT

Michael English will be in concert in Gurteen Church on Sunday, December 2, at 8 p.m. This promises to be a great nights singing and music. Tickets are going fast – Further info at 071 9182599.

SOCIAL DANCE

The November Social Dance at the Skreen-Dromard Community Centre will tale place on Saturday, November 24, when music for dancing will be provided by Stuart Moyles. Everyone welcome.

CHRISTMAS BAZAAR.

A Christmas Parish Bazaar will be held in the Skreen-Dromard Community Centre on Sunday, December 2, starting at 1 p.m. This event will have something for everyone including a visit from Santa.

COLÁISTE IASCAIGH

The annual enrolment night for the September 2019 intake of pupils at Coláiste Iascaigh will take place in the school on Wednesday, November 15, at 7 p.m.

BELTRA ICA

Beltra ICA are running four Christmas Craft Classes in Beltra Hall starting from Wednesday, November 14, up to and including December 15 the classes will run from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. each night. Places are limited. New members welcome.

EPILEPSY IRELAND

Thanks to everyone who supported the recently held church gate collection for Epilepsy Ireland. A total of €300 was raised for the associatio­n.

FUNDRAISER FOR SHOUT
