SLIGO CHORAL FESTIVAL

WINDMILL PLAYERS

An excess of 700 people expected to pack out the Dromore West Community Centre across this weekend as the hugely popular Windmill Players return with another rip-roaring comedy. Last year’s phenomenal Tom, Dick and Harry is followed with the Jacinta Gormley directed Don’t Tell the Wife, written by Sam Cree. Running from Friday to Sunday, doors open at 7:30pm and the show starts at 8pm. THE EVERLY BROTHERS EXPERIENCE

Singing brothers Zachary and Dylan Zmed along with their band bring the world-famous music of the Everly Brothers to the Hawk’s Well stage on Saturday. This is their first time in Ireland and their show has had rave reviews across the US and Europe. Tickets €20/18.

4 SLIGO FILM SOCIETY

This week’s film hosted by Sligo Film Society in the Model is Wajib, which tells the story of a father and his estranged son who must come together to hand deliver invitation­s to his daughter’s wedding. A poignant drama. The Model, 8pm tickets €8/6.

5 NOLLAIG CASEY & ARTY MCGLYNN

Lauded singer and fiddle player Nollaig Casey returns to the Hawk’s Well on Sunday one of Ireland’s most influentia­l guitar players, Arty McGlynn with special guest John Joe Kelly. 7pm, tickets €16/8 U18s and the duo will lead the free Super Sunday Trad Session at 12:30-2pm in the foyer of the Hawk’s Well.

6 HAMILTON GALLERY EXHIBITION

This month’s exhibition in the Hamilton Gallery, Castle St, features Catriona O’Leary and Cormac O’Leary. Running until November 24th.
