SLIGO Tourism has launched a brand new website designed as a comprehens­ive one-stop portal for visitors to County Sligo.

The Sligo Tourism website has been created specifical­ly to meet the needs of the tourist from home or abroad who are planning to visit County Sligo.

The site offers easy navigation, attractive imagery and informatio­n to help the visitor find what they are looking for in County Sligo such as: - Plan Your Trip, Where to Stay, Activities, Eat Drink and Nightlife, Sightseein­g and Attraction­s, Shopping, Tours, Festivals and Events.

Guest speaker at the launch Marian Harkin MEP, commented: “Sligo Tourism now has a state of the art modern website with beautiful imagery that truly captures what County Sligo has to offer the visitor.

“Sometimes you have to leave this wonderful county to fully appreciate its natural beauty. Sligo Tourism should be proud of this magnificen­t website.”

With easier navigation and easy to find informatio­n the new site offers an interactiv­e Google map where you can choose places to stay, eat and drink.

The new website is compatible with mobile devices, currently 60 per cent of visits to the new website are accessed using mobile devices.

Sligo Tourism social media channels are also included in the new website and offer the visitor the opportunit­y to check out County Sligo on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram.
