RECENT DEATH
The death took place on November 6 of Ann Candon, Sligo and late of Ballinafad. She was sister of Jane Powell, Clonsilla, Gurteen. Sincere sympathy is extended to Jane and Liam and family on their bereavement and to her sisters Marian, Bernadette, Paula, Alice, Patricia and Eileen and their families. May she rest in peace.
MICHAEL ENGLISH IN CHURCH

BINGO
Bingo takes place every Friday night in Gurteen Hall at 8.30 p.m. Proceeds goes to the upkeep of the hall and the local Eastern Harps GAA Club. Yjere is big prizemoney to be won on the night.
RECYCLING WORKSHOP
Gurteen Tidy Towns are to host a free recycling workshop on Saturday, November 24, at 11 a.m. in Gurteen Health Centre. Imelda Ryan-Jones for the Voice Ambassador Programme will advise on what you should put into the recycling bins. Adults and children are welcome.
MULLAGHROE NS
Mullaghroe NS annual table quiz and social night on Friday, November 23, in Drury’s Monasteraden. Quiz starts at 9 p.m. with €40 per table of four and also raffle with great prizes. All proceeds to Mullaghroe NS Come for a great night. GURTEEN POST OFFICE
The fight to keep Gurteen post office open goes on and the committee meet every week and are thankful and heartened with the co-operation from the public during a survey done there last week on Thursday and Friday. People are asked to please keep using all the facilities at the post office as they have been doing all along.
