One Act Drama Fes­ti­val de­lights the­atre en­thu­si­asts with 75th year cel­e­bra­tions

THE One Act Drama Fes­ti­val was a won­der­ful feast of com­edy and in­ter­est­ing new and ex­cit­ing dra­mas. The event ad­ju­di­ca­tor Ge­off O’Ke­effe was a won­der­ful hit with com­pet­ing groups from all over Ire­land and the au­di­ence.

The com­mit­tee were de­lighted to have Hu­bert Mc Mor­rrow, seer of ama­teur drama, for­mally close the fes­ti­val.

The es­teemed Chair­man Bren­dan Mc Gowan re­marked that as the event’s 75 year cel­e­bra­tion came to a close, in the words of Brian Friel‘ “It’s all over… and it ’s all about to be­gin”

The WDF team did an out­stand­ing job one again run­ning a suc­cess­ful fes­ti­val. They are de­lighted to have some new mem­bers on board and wel­come new peo­ple who would like to join the team. They are most grate­ful to have had the Tub­ber­curry and Dis­trict Credit Union as sponsor for the 1 Act Fes­ti­val. WIN­NERS were as fol­lows: OPEN
