Loftus Hall undergoes minor works

-

THE Loftus Hall in Ballymote has seen some minor but essential upgrades over the past few months thanks to funding from Sligo County Council. The interior and exterior of the building was recently painted by members of the local Community Scheme with the use of a grant attained in 2017.

A number of weeks ago the hall committee were successful in their application under the Community Enchancement Programme for heating upgrades.

Ballymote Councillor Keith Henry who completed both applications with the committee says that “€2,750 was allocated in October to improve the heating system in the hall.

“The Loftus hall is a vital asset to the town and is used by various sporting, dramatic and community groups and all works are greatly appreciated. I want to pay tribute to the local Community Scheme under the management of Gerry McHugh, the associated committees and the LCDC for their support in maintaining this facility.”
