DRIMINA National School Annual Fun Run/Walk took place recently and it was a big event for the local community. The annual run follows a 5km road loop adjacent to Drimina N.S., just off the Ballina Rd a few miles outside Tubbercurry. The 5k goes around the townland of Tullycusheen and back to Drimina. Con- ditions were difficult but the returning runners managed to still smile and chat back at the post-run gathering in the school hall.
As in other years the school’s families produced a hearty array of cakes, bakes and savouries for the runners.
This annual run is a lovely community event, bringing parents, families and neighbours together for the good of the school and community.
The walk is organised by Drimina’s Parent Association as a fundraiser for activities in the school throughout the year. They thanked all the event sponsors and everyone who helped out on the day.

Grace Dodd from Clonloo, Gurteen, celebrated her 50th parkrun in Lough Key recently. She celebrated with her family and friends from school in Clonloo; Chloe O’Gara, Megan O’Gara, Kate Molloy, Allanah Dodd, Grace Dodd, Ellen Henry, Emma Taheny and Katie Taheny.
