Sligo Social Services will again host their highly successful Up-cycle Fashion Show this Thursday at The Clayton Hotel. Senior Cycle students from 4 schools around Sligo, were given the task of taking second hand clothes and using their imaginatio­n and vision to create new fashion collection­s. THE NIGHT OF JANUARY 16TH

A courtroom murder trial drama set in New York, this is a gripping play about the death of a ruthless tycoon, head of a vast financial empire. ‘The Night of January 16th’ is a tension packed engrossing drama written by Russian American Ayn Rand and this Everyman production is directed by Manus Shields. The show continues at the Hawk’s Well from November 29 until December 1st.

CHRISTMAS ART SHOW

The launch of the 2019 ‘My Old Hometown Gurteen’ festival will take place this Friday in Teach Murray, Gurteen. The festival’s line-up will be announced on the night, with special guests coming along too.

The Christmas Art Show at Rathcormac returns this December. Following the huge success of the art show in June the art show will returning to Branley’s Yard, Rathcormac, Co. Sligo. ESPOSITO QUARTET

Sligo LGFA will be hosting a Strictly Come Dancing fundraiser this Friday, November 30th at the Clayton Hotel. Tickets are available at €10 each and are available from clubs and individual­s involved.

The Esposito Quartet comprises of four musicians with a combined bounty of experience as orchestra leaders, principals, professors, recital and recording artists, whose common love of the quartet treasury drove them in 2010 to ignore it no longer and seek each other out.
