-

A man who refused to give a doctor a urine sample at Sligo University Hospital has been fined ¤300 and put off the road for four years.

Eoin O’Boyle (24), who the court heard was a “young man away studying abroad at present”, pleaded guilty through his solicitor Ms Laura Spellman to refusing to give the sample at the hospital on the 4 th August 2017.

Judge Kilrane convicted and fined O’Boyle ¤300 for refusing to give the sample and disqualified him from driving for four years. Another charge of a Public Order offence was struck out.
