In­n­is­free Wheel­ers’ Santa Cy­cle

IT is Santa Cy­cle time again!

If you want to do some­thing orig­i­nal this fes­tive sea­son why not get out your bike and put on your santa suit and join In­n­is­free Wheel­ers for their pop­u­lar event this Sun­day, De­cem­ber 9th.

The Santa Cy­cle is a fun spin around Lough Gill. You will be sup­port­ing the Lions Club Christ­mas Food Ap­peal.

Last Christ­mas the Lions Club packed and dis­trib­uted 260 food ham­pers to fam­i­lies in need through­out the Sligo re­gion.

The es­ti­mated re­tail value of this was €12,000. The cy­cle con­trib­uted an im­por­tant part to this over­all fig­ure.

Par­tic­i­pants of the Santa Cy­cle will re­ceive teas and scone in Drom­a­hair and from there pedal on to Car­raroe where they will gather and cy­cle through town sur­pris­ing all the chil­dren and some adults who are out and about.

On fin­ish­ing the spin they will give you a tea, cof­fee or fes­tive hot Port in Con­nolly’s bar.

Ev­ery­one is wel­come to take part, just bring a road wor­thy bike and hel­met with your fes­tive out­fit and have a fun spin while sup­port- ing a wor­thy cause.

The cy­cle starts from the Knocknarea Arena, IT Sligo at 11am and the cost of en­try is €15.

One of the Ur­su­line Col­lege’s First Year Fut­sal Team who com­peted in the fi­nals at IT Sligo re­cently.

The In­n­is­free Wheel­ers Santa Cy­cle is tak­ing place this Sun­day.
