Rovers to announce squad additions at Q&A

-

SLIGO Rovers will announce two squad additions at tomorrow’s (Wednesday) Q&A session with Liam Buckley at the Clayton Hotel.

Taking place from 7.30pm, the squad additions will be unveiled, along with the Q&A session which is open to the public, the brand new away jerseys will be on display and player of the year awards will be handed out along with underage awards for the season.

Tommie Gorman will be MC for the evening.

It will be the Rovers boss’ first time to meet fans at such an event which all are invited to attend.

Rovers have so far signed 14 players ahead of the new season; Ronan Murray, Regan Donelon, Kyle Callan McFadden, Mitchell Beeney, Luke McNicholas, Ed McGinty, John Mahon, Patrick McClean Jack Keaney, David Cawley, Kris Twardek, Liam Kerrigan and Niall Morahan.

McClean has been linked to his former club Derry City in the press on Foyleside, while it appears as though it is unlikely that Lee Lynch will be back in a Rovers shirt for 2019.

Players linked with the club include John Dunleavy, who had been in talks with the Bit O’Red prior to Ger Lyttle’s departure.

Barry McNamee is yet to sign for a club having left Cork City, and he has been linked with both Rovers and his former club Derry City.
