Pop Up Theatre secure rights for CHICAGO

Pop Up Theatre Sligo have secured the rights for the sensational Broadway smash hit musical CHICAGO and the production team are gearing up to host an exciting double night of auditions on 11 th & 12 th December in the Clayton Hotel, Sligo. The spectacular production which is being staged in the Hawks Well Theatre from 17 th - 20 th April 2019 is a debut for the town, as the amateur production rights have not been available in the shows extensive history. However Pop Up Theatre have been lucky enough to snap them up, now all they need is an amazing cast to bring it to life!

A fast paced and intense show, CHICAGO requires stamina, talent, hard work and dedication as the 12 week / 4 days a week schedule will not be for the faint hearted. The seasoned production team of Karen Gordon (Director), Ingrid McLoughlin (Cho- reographer) and Herta Kelly (Chorus Mistress) will be putting auditionees through their paces to ensure the absolute best cast are chosen for this hotly anticipated show, for which tickets are already selling fast!

Those interested in auditioning must attend both audition nights on 11 th & 12 th December at 7pm both nights in Clayton Hotel. Tuesday 11 th is solo private singing / acting auditions - pieces are available to download from the Pop Up Theatre Facebook page now. A group dance audition takes place on Wednesday 12 th December at 7pm, and auditionees are advised to wear comfortable clothes and bring plenty of water. All auditionees must be over 18 and be prepared to give full commitment if successful.
